Daryl Plummer, Gartner Fellow, looks at The Evolution of Cloud Computing Into an Essential IT Strategy. Of particular interest is Mr. Plummer’s guidance on private vs. public cloud. He suggests considering private cloud only when the public cloud cannot meet your needs. This is consistent with the approach we are seeing taken by many of our customers.
