In advance of a series of upcoming G8 meetings, the McKinsey Global Institute published a fascinating study called, Internet Matters: The Net’s Sweeping Impact on Growth, Jobs, and Prosperity. In a nutshell, the research concludes that in addition to changing the way we live, meet, socialize and work, the Internet is also creating real growth and wealth. McKinsey advises the G8 to strongly consider the Internet as a critical component of their strategy for economic growth and development. My take: This bodes well for the future of the Cloud.
