Great News! Microsoft License Mobility with Software Assurance program has been extended to the Amazon Web Services cloud. In a nutshell, this program allows you to move Windows Server applications licenses between your on-premises environment and the cloud. A number of applications are available in the program including Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft SharePoint Server, Microsoft SQL Server Standard, Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Edition, Microsoft Lync Server, Microsoft System Center Servers, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server. Of particular interest for Lawson Cloud customers is the inclusion of Microsoft SQL Server (Standard and Enterprise Editions), which will allow customers to port their existing Microsoft SQL Server licenses to the cloud and leverage their existing investments!
